- What should a specialist in this field be like in order to raise a proper future generation?
- In my opinion, if one decides to become a programmer and a specialist in the field of computer science in general, should be aware that this field is constantly evolving and will not be able to relax. As for raising the next generation, the main thing is probably to give the right direction, because there are many sub-directions in this field and it is impossible to know everything.
- How many years have you been interested in this field and why, what is your work experience?
- I have been interested in technologies and devices since childhood, I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in computer science from TSU. As for practical experience, in August 2013 I started working as an intern in one of the ministries, then I have received offers from the Polish companies. I am currently in the position of Senior Software Engineer.
- How important is the sharing of European knowledge and experience for Georgian students? Is the syllabus for your subject based on the experience of foreign universities?
- I will say that it is really based on the syllabi of leading European and American universities, but it is not "copied" and we have adapted to the reality of Georgia as much as possible. Also, we teach the issues that 99% of employers ask at the very first stage of the interview. There are many good and successful Georgian programmers in such big companies as Google, Facebook and many others and sharing their experience is of course very important.
- Necessary and essential skills that are important for successful work in this field?
Willpower, devoting too much time to yourself. Many make mistakes and as soon as they get a job, they slowly stop learning new things. It may sound bad, but it feels like a slow professional death, because in a few years, the technology he/she is working on now may not be popular at all. Also, I think it is very good to have good mathematical knowledge.
- Why should students choose, what are the advantages of SANGU Master of Computer Science program?
I can confidently say that it is one of the best in Georgia. This program includes topics such as: neural networks, cyber security, various types of databases, data visualization, parallel programming and many other interesting topics. In addition, these subjects are taught by young people whose daily activities are related to it, and this is a guarantee that they will constantly provide students with information about the news.
