SANGU pays great attention to the synthesis of academic and practical components. Tornike Shurgulaia, a professor at SANGU, is constantly trying to enrich the course with original and the latest teaching methods. This year the students took a new subject - the professional practice of international relations, which deserved great approval.
Tornike Shurgulaia - Under the auspices of the Thomas Jefferson Research Center, all graduate students of the Georgian University's International Relations program undergo mandatory professional internships. Our main goal is to develop the future, promising assets of the country with the professional knowledge and skills of modern and Western standards, after which they will be able to easily apply the special theoretical knowledge in the practical field. After the introduction of this format, the student can actually develop the knowledge and skills that will be useful after employment in the international and in the strategic field.
Students who have completed a compulsory professional internship under the guidance of Mr. Tornike appreciate it and speak of the need to teach such subjects.
