On June 17, at Saint Andrews Georgian University, within the framework of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth’s “Young Scientists Week,” a conference was held on the topic: “Aspects of Computing Research, Teaching, and Technology” with participation from students and professors of the School of Business, Computing, and Social Sciences.

Opening remarks were delivered by the Rector of SANGU, Professor Irakli Brachuli, and Mr. Zaza Maruashvili, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Development at the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth.

The first presentation — “Asymmetric Cryptography and the CA Algorithm” — was delivered by Kaha Revazishvili, Head of the IT and E-Resources Regulation Department at SANGU. The following presentations were given by SANGU students: “Cryptography from Ancient Rome to Today” – Giorgi Tskhipurishvili; “Graphs and Their Algorithms” – Davit Kiknadze; “Memory Management in C++” – Ilia Chichikashvili. The final presentation, “Minimization Algorithms in Machine Learning,” was offered by Koba Gelashvili, Head of the Computer Science program.

The goal of the week is to promote Georgian researchers, foster international collaboration, and encourage students’ interest in science.

The conference was moderated by Mariam Kvarian, Head of the Department of Employment and Career Development at SANGU.
