International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On February 11, the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia held a ceremonial event to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The day aims to support women working in science and to recognize their achievements.

We are especially proud to announce that Khatuna Kukhalashvili, Deputy Dean of the School of Humanities and Law at SANGU and Doctor of Philology, was awarded an honorary certificate by the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia for her scientific achievements in the field of philology.

This recognition once again highlights the professionalism of our academic staff and their significant contributions to science.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science was established in 2015 by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly to promote the equal participation of women in education and scientific development.

We congratulate all women scientists on this important day and wish them continued success in their future achievements!
