Competition Title: Research Grant Competition for Young Scientists

Abbreviation: YS

Purpose: The competition aims to support young scientists by funding research projects that enhance the quality of scientific research, encourage thematic or interdisciplinary collaboration, and increase academic engagement, as well as strengthen research activities at Georgian higher education institutions.

  • Projects must be submitted in the following scientific fields:
    • Natural Sciences
    • Engineering and Technology
    • Medical and Health Sciences
    • Agricultural Sciences
    • Social Sciences
    • Humanities
    • Georgian Studies
  • The project must be submitted by a young scientist (PhD awarded within the last 7 years before April 16, 2025) jointly with a host institution.
  • Project duration must be 2 years.
  • Requested funding from the foundation must not exceed GEL 30,000 per year or GEL 60,000 in total.
  • The project may include a mentor from the host institution, consultants (local or international), and support staff.
  • Co-funding is allowed to partially cover the project budget.
