The Library of St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchage has joined the International Association of University Libraries (IATUL) — an organization that unites the libraries of leading universities worldwide, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
IATUL was founded in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1955 and today brings together over 240 member libraries from different countries. The organization’s mission is to foster cooperation between universities, support the professional development of library staff, and ensure active participation in global educational and scientific processes.
For SANGU Library, joining IATUL opens new opportunities — active participation in international conferences, workshops, and research projects, development of new collaboration platforms, and strengthening the university’s international integration.
