"I Am an Experimenter" – A Scientific Journey Concludes

From February 25 to May 27, 2025, St. Andrews Georgian University (SANGU) hosted students from more than 30 public and private schools across Georgia. Over 600 pupils participated in this unique initiative, which offered hands-on experience in a real physics laboratory environment and inspired them to explore the world of science through experimentation.

Students observed demonstration experiments and then actively engaged in conducting their own school-level experiments, performing measurements, analyzing results, and exploring physical laws in practice. The experience helped them better understand the importance of science in everyday life.

On the final day of the project, May 27, SANGU welcomed:
• Gori Public School No. 4
• Gorisisi and Chala Public Schools from Sachkhere Municipality

At the end of the visit, participants received certificates. SANGU ambassadors guided them through the university campus and introduced them to bachelor's programs, academic opportunities, and student life.

The project "I Am an Experimenter" was implemented with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the 2024 Targeted Grant Competition for the Popularization of Science (Project Code: SPG-24-1436).

The project aimed to foster interest in physics among school students, raise awareness of the importance of science, and demonstrate its connections to everyday life and other disciplines—including chemistry, biology, geography, music, and the arts.

SANGU extends sincere thanks to all participating schools, students, and teachers for their engagement and trust.

The university remains committed to inspiring youth and promoting science education in Georgia.
