Training on Online Teaching Held at SANGU

On June 26, 2025, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University hosted a training session for academic staff, led by professors from Northern Kentucky University. The session aimed to share modern approaches and practical tools for effective distance and online teaching.

The training was held in Auditorium 201 (Building II) and was conducted in English. Lecturers included Prof. Maureen Doyle from the Department of Computer Science, Northern Kentucky University, and Prof. Traian Marius Truta, Director of the School of Computing and Analytics at NKU.

The session covered the following key topics:

• Core approaches and best practices in online and distance teaching
• Digital tools and platforms for synchronous and asynchronous learning
• Inclusive, student-centered pedagogy adapted to virtual environments
• Online assessment, feedback, and academic integrity

This training was a practice-oriented initiative and an integral part of SANGU’s academic development strategy, which focuses on enhancing the quality of teaching through international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
