The Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and the University of Oxford announce the 2025 call for proposals for their joint research program in Georgian Studies.

Joint Research Grant Program in Georgian Studies by the Rustaveli Foundation and the University of Oxford

Abbreviation: UO GSP

Objectives of the Competition:

a) To support the development and international promotion of modern, discipline-specific and interdisciplinary research in Georgian Studies that meets global academic standards;

b) To attract young researchers and strengthen their scientific potential; to promote the dissemination of research findings on Georgia’s history, culture, language and literature, script, archaeology, art, religion, and socio-economic and political transformation within the international academic community;

c) To foster collaborative contacts and the creation of research consortia through the advancement of modern regional and Georgian Studies, thereby ensuring broad and sustainable international scientific cooperation.
