Global Media Literacy Hackathon

The goal of the Global Media Literacy Hackathon is to encourage young people, sector professionals, and future startup founders to reflect on challenges around media literacy and ways to solve them.

Teams can register to participate in the hackathon until November 23 via the following application link: https://bit.ly/3WN0PiA

In the application form, it is important to present your team and idea/project and, optionally, upload a motivation video explaining why solving the chosen problem matters and how your idea will help address it.

Anyone aged 18–35 is eligible to participate in the hackathon.

Team size: from 2 to 5 members.

Hackathon Topics:

  • Artificial Intelligence Literacy
  • Disinformation
  • Digital Literacy
  • Cybersecurity

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Relevance of the problem
  • Effectiveness of the solution
  • Project sustainability

According to the evaluation criteria, 10 best teams will be selected. On November 28–29 they will refine their ideas with the help of qualified mentors and prepare prototypes.

Prizes:

  • 1st place — 5,000 GEL
  • 2nd place — 3,000 GEL
  • 3rd place — 1,000 GEL

On November 30, teams will present their developed ideas to the jury, who will select the three winners.
