On 20 November, a student scientific conference titled “Sustainable Development of Georgian Resorts” was held, organized by the Resorts Development Agency (LEPL) under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The conference was attended by bachelor’s and master’s degree students from accredited universities in Georgia who had advanced to the second stage of the competition.
Saint Andrews Georgian University (SANGU) was represented by outstanding student Medea Gogilashvili from the School of Business, Computing and Social Sciences, who, under the supervision of Professor Niko Kvaratskhelia, presented a thesis on “Research on Sustainable Tourism and Development Prospects in Kazbegi”.
It should be noted that participation in the conference consisted of two stages. At the first stage, theses were submitted to the Agency, where a special jury selected the 15 best papers. At the next stage, the authors of the selected theses presented their work to the audience.
SANGU student Medea Gogilashvili performed with dignity before the jury and the audience; her presentation received significant recognition and she was awarded a certificate and valuable gifts.
