On May 25, at 14:00, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia will host a public lecture by Professor David Ellery on the topic: “Geopolitical Uncertainty and Unpredictability: Challenge and Opportunity”.

During the lecture, Professor Ellery will discuss geopolitical challenges in the contemporary international environment, strategic leadership, security policy, and the effective use of opportunities in times of global instability.

Professor David Ellery is an internationally recognized expert in strategy and strategic leadership. He has 35 years of experience in foreign and public service, where he has been involved at the highest level in the development and implementation of strategic policy, including in the fields of national security and defence.

He is a Professor and Honorary Fellow at Durham University, a Professor at the National Defence Academy in Vienna, Dean of the Regional Strategic Leadership Course for the Western Balkans, and Senior Research Fellow of the “Changing Character of War” programme at the University of Oxford. He also collaborates with Durham’s Research and Innovation Institute, where his work focuses on strategy and strategic leadership in the context of the development and application of modern technologies.
