Research and Development

St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University is committed to fostering a supportive environment for research activities, based on the principles and values of academic freedom and integrity. The university aims to realize, strengthen, and promote its research potential on local, regional, and international levels.

The Office of Research and Development coordinates and promotes the university’s research activities in accordance with its strategic priorities and institutional goals.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Participates in defining and implementing the university’s research policy in coordination with the administration, academic units, and relevant offices.
  • Supports the internationalization of institutional and research activities.
  • Facilitates collaboration with international networks and organizations for academic and research development.
  • Promotes cooperation with donor organizations and research funding institutions.
  • Informs staff about grant opportunities and funding calls relevant to research.
  • Organizes consultations and training sessions to support research development.
  • In collaboration with relevant university units, develops criteria for evaluating academic and research staff productivity.
  • Prepares recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of research activities.
  • Compiles and presents reports on the university’s scientific and research achievements.
